Aishah Bomani, Middle English Language Arts

My Experience:

Since high school, I have been an active volunteer for various organizations that were aimed at youth development. In 2009, I began volunteering and teaching at the former Islamic School of Seattle. As a teaching assistant, I had the pleasure of gaining experience with students from various age groups and multiple academic subjects; in addition to their Montessori based curriculum.

My Education:

Associate of Arts degree- Seattle Central Community College

Bachelor of Arts: English Literature- Seattle University

Master’s in Education: Teaching and Education transformation- University of Massachusetts- Boston

Why I like teaching:

It is my dream to use my experiences and my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent leader who will make a positive contribution to our school and our community. I believe in the importance of empowering young Muslims with education, and am eager to work with them in an Islamic environment.
